Try it free · up to 10 bookings

Turn missed calls into booked appointments.

GotItDesk is an AI receptionist, not a phone tree with a new voice. When your team can’t pick up, it answers, quotes from your price list and books the job into your Google Calendar, Outlook or GotItDesk’s own — and you keep your number.

Right for you today if…

You take bookings by phone and keep them in Google Calendar, Outlook, or GotItDesk’s own calendar (a column per person or bay). Busy times in Google or Outlook are never offered, and every booking is added there.

Not yet for…

Businesses whose only calendar is Apple iCloud, Calendly, Square, Acuity or another booking system (coming soon). Medical practices: we’re working on HIPAA.

Recorded sample call

Listen to a ceramic-coating booking, start to finish

A 54-second call for a premium detailing studio — a scripted call recorded in our production voice, with the quote and the booking appearing as they happen. Then change the studio and watch the agent change with it.

What it does

Four things, properly

Not a phone tree with a new voice. A receptionist that finishes the job while the caller is still on the line.

Answers on the fourth ring

Your line rings as it always has. What nobody picks up comes to us instead of to voicemail — in about a second. English today; Spanish and French are next.

Books into your calendar

Not a message for someone to action tomorrow. The slot is held while the caller is still on the line, and the booking is in your inbox before they hang up, and in your Google Calendar or Outlook too if you connect one.

Tells you what happened

Every booking, change and message is emailed to you and waits in the app, where you can read the whole call back.

Hands over the moment they ask

Any wording — “a person”, “someone real”, silence, confusion. Straight through to your desk, and if nobody picks up, it takes a message.

Setup

Three steps, about ten minutes

No integration project and no IT. You can finish later from any device: everything is saved to your account as you go.

Tell it about the business

A short guided setup: your hours, what people book, what it costs, who they see, and anything that should never be said. It suggests the wording for your kind of business, and you change whatever you like.

Pick a voice by ear

Hear each one say a real line, at phone quality, the way your callers will. Men and women, younger and older, American and British.

Test it, then dial one code

Call your new GotItDesk number yourself and hear it answer as your business before any caller does. Then one forwarding code sends it the calls nobody picks up; another switches it back off.

While you’re open

We only take what nobody reached. If your front desk picks up, we never hear the call.

Once you’re closed

Evenings, weekends and the lunch hour, we take everything — because four rings of nothing is a caller deciding you are shut.

What it is built not to do

  • Quote a price it cannot source. Only your services, only your prices.
  • Promise what insurance covers. It reads your wording, word for word.
  • Argue, upsell, or keep someone who asked for a human.
  • Record a call in a jurisdiction where that needs consent we do not have.

Reaching a person

  • No three strikes. The first ask hands over.
  • Any wording, any reason — straight through.
  • No routing maze. Whoever picks up hears who is on the line and why.
  • Never billed. A transfer costs you nothing, ever.

What is live and what is not yet

We would rather you heard this from us than found it out in week two.

  • The phone line is live. Every new account gets its own local number in about a minute, and you can try yours with a test call before callers reach it.
  • Running on live calls today: the voice, quoting from your price list, holding the slot, spelling names back, moving and cancelling bookings, putting callers through to you, GotItDesk’s own calendar with a column per person or bay, and an email for every booking and message.
  • Not live yet: texts to callers (the carriers are reviewing it), deposits and card links, the no-show call-back, Apple iCloud and other booking systems, and Spanish and French callers.
  • Paid plans are open. Start with a free trial (your first 10 bookings, no card), then Business at $79 a month for our first 100 customers.
  • Not for patient health information yet. We don’t sign HIPAA business associate agreements on any plan.

Questions

The ones everybody asks

Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep the number you have been handing out for years. We sit behind it on conditional forward — your phone rings first, every time.
Do I have to type in every answer?
No. Tell setup’s assistant about your business in your own words, or paste your website, and it suggests your hours, services, prices and answers. A spreadsheet or document of questions and answers works too. You apply the ones you want; anything it can’t find is left out, not guessed.
What happens if it does not understand someone?
It asks again at most twice, then puts the caller through to you, or takes a message with their number if nobody is free. It does not guess.
What if nobody picks up when it puts someone through?
It rings the numbers you chose for as long as you set, then comes back to the caller and takes a message, which is emailed to you straight away. It never rings your GotItDesk line back into itself.
Which phones does it work with?
Any US line whose carrier offers conditional call forwarding, which is almost all of them. Setup shows the exact code for your carrier, and how to undo it.
Is it always four rings?
Roughly. On AT&T and T-Mobile the forwarding code sets how many seconds your phone rings first, and setup lets you pick two to six rings. Verizon and some other carriers use their own fixed delay, usually four to six rings.
Can it answer straight away after hours?
Yes. Setup also gives you an “every call” code. Dial it when you close and every call comes straight to GotItDesk; dial the off code in the morning and your phone rings first again.
I already use another booking system. Will it double-book?
Not if you use Google Calendar or Outlook: connect it, and GotItDesk checks it before offering a time, so it doesn’t offer one that’s busy there, and adds every booking it makes. Apple iCloud and booking systems like Calendly and Square are coming. Until then, with one of those, block out the times you’re already booked in the GotItDesk calendar, and it only offers what’s left. Every booking is emailed to you with a calendar invite, so you can add it to your own.
What if two callers want the same time?
The first caller to settle on a time holds it while they finish the call, so it can’t be given to anyone else underneath them. The second caller is offered the next free times.
What happens if GotItDesk is down?
Callers hear a short message and can leave a voicemail, which is emailed to you. Your own phone keeps ringing first as normal, because forwarding only sends us the calls nobody picked up.
What if a caller has an emergency?
It doesn’t give medical or safety advice. If something sounds urgent it tells the caller to hang up and call 911 if it’s an emergency, then puts them through to your team if someone is free, or offers the soonest appointment or a message for the team.
Can customers book by chat too?
Yes. You get a chat link for Instagram, Google or your email signature, and one line that puts a chat window on your website. It’s the same receptionist in writing: it answers questions and books, and chats don’t use your minutes.
Can I change what it says later?
Any time, in the app: prices, services, hours, who takes which bookings, your answers to common questions, and anything it must never say. Changes reach the phone line within a minute.
How do I turn it off?
Dial the code setup gives you: ##004# on AT&T and T-Mobile, *73 on Verizon. Unanswered calls go back to your own voicemail straight away.
Will my callers know it is not a person?
Yes. By default it says so in its first sentence, and it always answers truthfully if asked. Where the law allows, you can switch the up-front line off. We do not build a receptionist whose first act is a lie.
What does it cost when a call goes nowhere?
Nothing. Robocalls and hang-ups where nobody asked for anything do not use your minutes.
Can a busy month cost me more?
No. Every plan is a flat price with its minutes included. When they run out, callers leave a voicemail that is emailed to you until the month resets. There is no overage bill.
How quickly can we be live?
The setup conversation is about ten minutes. Dialling the forwarding code is thirty seconds. You can be answering real calls the same afternoon.
